Are these tools private? Yes — they run in your browser.
TaimurTools is built on a simple promise: your files never leave your device. Almost every tool runs 100% client-side — in your own browser, with no upload, no account, and no usage limits. Here's exactly how that works and why it matters.
How it works
When you open a tool and add a file, your browser loads that file into memory on your own machine. The conversion, compression, OCR, or edit then runs locally using JavaScript and WebAssembly — the same technology that powers in-browser apps like Figma and Photoshop on the web. The finished result is handed straight back to you for download. At no point is the file transmitted to taimurtools.com or any third party.
How that compares
| TaimurTools | Typical online tools | |
|---|---|---|
| Files uploaded to a server | No | Usually yes |
| Account / signup required | No | Often |
| Daily / file-size limits | None (utility tools) | Common on free tier |
| Watermarks | None | Common on free tier |
The few exceptions (clearly flagged)
A small number of AI features rely on a model that can't run on your device, so they call an external API. These are labelled in the interface so you always know:
Frequently asked questions
Are the files I process uploaded anywhere?
No. Almost every tool runs entirely in your browser. Your file is read into the page's memory on your device, processed there, and handed straight back — it is never transmitted to a server.
Do I need an account or signup?
No. There is no account, no email wall, and no login.
Are there per-hour or daily limits?
No. Because the work happens on your device, the free utility tools have no per-hour caps or file-size paywalls.
Which tools are the exceptions that use an online API?
AI Summarize PDF and Translate PDF send text to an AI service, and the AI generation tools call an AI API. They're flagged in the UI. Every conversion/editing tool is fully client-side.
How is this different from iLovePDF or Smallpdf?
Most popular tools upload your file to their servers and cap free users. TaimurTools processes files in your browser instead, so your data never leaves your device and the utility tools have no limits.
