How the tools protect privacy
Every tool on TaimurTools processes files locally inside the browser using JavaScript, Web Workers, and WebAssembly. When a user uploads an image to the OCR tool, for example, the file never leaves their computer — Tesseract.js performs the optical character recognition entirely in-memory, returns the extracted text, and discards the source data when the tab closes. The same architecture applies to PDF conversion using pdf.js and jsPDF, audio processing with lamejs and the Web Audio API, and video editing through ffmpeg.wasm. AI features that genuinely require cloud inference, such as image generation, route through public APIs like Pollinations.ai, which do not retain user prompts or outputs. This approach trades a small amount of processing speed for total privacy: users do not need to read a privacy policy because there is no data collection on the TaimurTools side at all.

Taimur Hassan Siddiqui is a Pakistan-based freelance technologist with over a decade of professional experience spanning three disciplines: Computer Science education, video production, and software development.
