- Page size is preserved per page, so mixing A4 and US Letter originals gives a PDF with two different page sizes in it. Nothing is rescaled.
If it does not work
Nothing happens when you click Merge
Only one file was added. Merging needs at least two.
"Failed to load PDF" or a blank result
The PDF is password-protected or encrypted. Remove the password in the app that created it, then merge.
The tab freezes on very large files
Everything runs in your browser's memory. Merge in two passes, or use a desktop browser with more RAM.
Form fields or signatures stop working
Merging copies page content; interactive form fields and digital signatures from the source files are not carried over.

Joining scanned pages that came off the scanner separately
Some scanners produce one file per sheet. Merging puts the sheets back into a single document in the order you choose.

If a report was written in sections by different people, merging them gives the print shop one file instead of six.
Combining exports from different programs
A spreadsheet printed to PDF, a Word letter and a scanned page can all end up in the same document, because the tool only cares that each is a PDF.
How the options work
There are no quality or compression settings, because merging copies pages rather than redrawing them. The only decisions are which files and in what order:
- Adding files
- Drop two or more PDFs on the upload area, or click it and select several at once. They stay on your device; the page reads them into memory.
- Order
- Each file appears as a tile. Drag the tiles into the order you want the pages to appear. The first tile's pages come first, and so on down the list.
- Page sizes
- Every page keeps the size it had. Mixing A4 and US Letter originals gives a document with both sizes in it; nothing is rescaled to match.
- Merge and download
- Click Merge PDFs and the combined file is built with pdf-lib and handed straight to your browser as a download.
What it cannot do
- Encrypted or password-protected PDFs cannot be opened by the library. Remove the password in the program that created the file, then merge.
- Pages are copied across as they are. Features that belong to the document as a whole, such as bookmarks and interactive form fields, may not carry over, so open the result and check before you rely on them.
- You cannot pick individual pages from inside a file while merging. If you only need some pages from a document, extract them with Split PDF first and merge the extracts.
- Everything is held in your device's memory while it is combined. There is no file-size cap, but a few hundred megabytes of input will be slow on a phone. The free allowance is 5 merges per day for this tool, counted in your browser and reset at midnight UTC.
How it compares with the alternatives
If you are at your own computer, the tools you already have can merge PDFs: Preview on a Mac lets you drag pages between documents, and Acrobat has a combine-files feature. They give you page-level control, which this tool does not.
This tool is the quick option when you are on a phone, on a shared machine, or do not want to install anything, and the files are sensitive enough that you would rather not upload them to a merge service. The merge happens in the browser tab and no copy of your files reaches this site.

Getting a better result
Number your file names
The picker hands the files over in whatever order your system chooses. Naming them 01, 02, 03 saves reordering.
Check page sizes
If your originals are a mix of sizes, decide whether you want that. Print dialogs will usually scale each page to fit, but a viewer will show them as they are.
Merge first, compress second
If the combined file is too big to send, run it through Compress PDF afterwards instead of compressing every part.
Look at the result
Scroll through the merged file once before you send it. It takes ten seconds and catches a page in the wrong place.

Can I merge only some pages from each PDF?
Not in one step. Use Split PDF to extract the pages you want from each file, then merge the extracts.
Does the merged file keep my bookmarks and form fields?
Do not assume so. Pages are copied across; document-level features may not be. Open the result and test anything that matters.
What order will the pages be in?
The order of the tiles on screen, top to bottom, with each file's pages in their original order.
Why is the merged PDF so large?
Merging does not compress anything, so the result is roughly the sum of the inputs. Use Compress PDF afterwards if it is a scan.
