A worked example
- Input
- A photo with a small date stamp in the lower-right corner; a rectangle drawn tightly around the stamp.
- What comes back
- The same photo with that rectangle filled in from the pixels immediately around it.
- Worth knowing
- The fill blends the edges of the hole inwards. It works well over smooth, even backgrounds - sky, a wall, a plain surface. Over texture, a pattern or a face it will smear, and the larger the selection the worse it gets. This is not AI inpainting; nothing is reconstructed.
If it does not work
The area came out smeared
The background under the mark has texture or detail. The fill can only interpolate from the edges - it cannot rebuild a pattern.

Your selection is far larger than a typical watermark and will damage real content. Select more tightly.

Will it remove a watermark across the whole image?
No. It is built for a small rectangle. A full-image watermark is out of scope, and removing one from content you do not own may not be lawful.
