- Creating a resume from scratch happens entirely in your browser. Improve existing resume does not: it reads the text of the file you upload in your browser, then sends up to the first 12,000 characters of it to an AI provider, which returns structured fields to fill the form. A resume contains personal data (name, email, phone, address, work history), so remove what you do not need before uploading, or use Create new resume instead.

How it works
You choose between two modes. Building and exporting always happen in your browser, but one of the modes sends your text to an AI provider:
- Create new resume
- Type your details section by section. Nothing is sent anywhere.
- Improve existing resume
- Upload a PDF or .txt resume. Its text is read in your browser (first 10 pages of a PDF), then up to the first 12,000 characters are sent to an AI model, which returns structured fields that fill in the form. This is the only step that sends anything off your device.
- Templates and colour
- Choose a layout, then generate and export as HTML or PDF.
What it cannot do
- Pagination is automatic, with no manual page-break control. Trim content if the PDF spills onto an extra page.
- It does not check your CV against a job description; use ATS Resume Checker for that.
- Your resume contains personal data. In Improve existing resume, up to 12,000 characters of its text go to Google Gemini through our server. Use Create new resume instead if you do not want that, or remove your contact details and address first.
- The free allowance is 5 runs per day for this tool, counted in your browser and reset at midnight UTC.

It depends on the mode. Create new resume keeps everything in your browser. Improve existing resume reads the file in your browser, then sends up to the first 12,000 characters of its text to taimurtools.com/api.php and on to Google Gemini. Do not use that mode if the resume contains details you do not want an AI provider to receive.
Is the whole file sent?
Only text, and only up to 12,000 characters of it (from the first 10 pages of a PDF). Images and formatting are not sent.
Is my data saved between visits?
Not on our side. There is no account and nothing is stored on our servers; the AI provider's handling is governed by its own terms.
Is there a limit?
