Shopify Store Design Built to Turn Browsers Into Buyers

Store design and redesign for Shopify brands that get traffic but not enough orders: brand-led visual design, mobile-first product pages and trust elements placed where buyers hesitate.

What's included
  • Store UX review
  • Visual identity in the theme
  • Mobile-first product page
  • Trust elements
  • Homepage and collection layout
How it starts

A free 30-minute strategy call, then a fixed-fee proposal. No retainer required to get a quote.

The problem

Traffic is arriving. Orders are not.

When a store looks fine but underperforms, the cause is usually a chain of small design decisions that add friction.

A homepage that opens with a full-screen slider and says nothing about what you sell or why
Product pages where the price, variant picker and add-to-cart sit below the fold on a phone
Stock photography and inconsistent type that make a real brand look like a dropshipping test
Reviews, shipping times and guarantees buried in tabs instead of next to the buy button
A theme patched by three freelancers, each with their own colors and spacing

Our approach

Redesign the path to purchase, not just the look

We start with your existing store, not a blank canvas. A structured review walks each key template on a phone: homepage, collection, product, cart and checkout, noting where the hierarchy breaks, where trust is missing, and where the theme fights the brand. You receive it as a written document with annotated screenshots before we propose any design work, so you can act on it with or without us.

The redesign is built in Figma on your actual products and copy, then implemented in your Online Store 2.0 theme as reusable sections and color schemes. Product pages get a mobile-first layout: gallery, price, variants and add-to-cart in the first screen, then benefits, metafield specifications, reviews and a clear returns line. Every decision has a reason written in the spec.

What's included

  • Store UX review — A page-by-page walkthrough of homepage, collection, product, cart and checkout, with annotated fixes in a written document.
  • Visual identity in the theme — Color schemes, type scale, button styles and spacing set once in theme settings so every section inherits them.
  • Mobile-first product page — Gallery, price, variants, stock and add-to-cart above the fold, then benefits, specs and reviews in order.
  • Trust elements — Reviews, shipping estimates, payment icons, guarantees and returns placed where buyers hesitate, not hidden in tabs.
  • Homepage and collection layout — Merchandised hero, featured collections, social proof and editorial blocks arranged to move visitors toward products.
  • Custom sections and icons — Bespoke sections, iconography and image treatments implemented in Liquid and exposed as theme editor settings.

Process

How we work

Free store review

Send your URL. We record a short walkthrough of what is costing you orders, then send a fixed-fee proposal.

Design in Figma

Key templates designed on your real products, photos and copy. Two revision rounds, then sign-off before implementation.

Implement in your theme

Designs built as sections and schemes in a duplicate theme, reviewed on real devices, with a Loom walkthrough each sprint.

Launch and refine

Publish, watch Shopify analytics for the first weeks, then adjust the sections that underperform.

Benefits

Why redesign with us

Designed on your products

Mockups use your catalog and photography, so what you approve is what customers will see.

Consistent by default

Brand settings live in the theme, not in individual sections, so new pages match automatically.

Built for the phone first

Every layout is designed at phone width first, because that is where most store traffic arrives.

No theme lock-in

Everything lives in your own theme and stays editable in the theme editor after we leave.

Fit

Who this is for

  • Established stores whose traffic grew faster than their design did
  • Brands rebranding and needing the store to match new packaging and campaigns
  • Founders who launched on a stock theme and now want a store that looks like theirs
  • Stores with strong products but product pages that fail to explain them on mobile

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

What does the free store review include?
You send your store URL and, optionally, a note on what you think is wrong. We walk the store on a phone and desktop, record a short Loom pointing at specific problems on the homepage, collection and product pages, and send it with a summary of what we would change first. There is no obligation; many owners use it as a checklist for their team.
How is a Shopify redesign priced?
Price depends on how many templates are involved, whether we refresh within your current theme or move to a new one, how much custom section work is needed, and whether copy needs attention. A product page overhaul is a small project; a full redesign with new brand assets is a larger one. After the review, you receive a fixed-fee proposal for the recommended scope.
Will a redesign hurt my search rankings?
Not if it is planned properly. URLs, page titles, headings and product content stay in place unless we deliberately improve them, and any structural change is mapped with redirects. Faster pages and a cleaner heading structure are generally positive for search. We compare Search Console data and the core templates before and after publishing so any regression is caught in the first weeks.
Can we keep our current theme, or do we need a new one?
Usually, yes. Any Online Store 2.0 theme supports custom sections, color schemes and JSON templates, which is enough for most redesigns. We recommend a switch only when the current theme is a legacy vintage theme, heavily patched by past developers, or holding back mobile speed. If a switch is needed, we say so in the review and explain the reasons in plain terms.
Do you also handle photography, copy and brand assets?
We design with the assets you have and say honestly where they are the limiting factor. For product images, our free background generator and image compressor handle clean-up and file size. For copy, we can draft or restructure product and homepage text within the project. Photography shoots and logo design are outside our scope, but we can brief a photographer or designer you hire.
How do revisions and approvals work with a remote studio?
Designs are shared as Figma links with comments enabled, so feedback lands on the exact screen it refers to. Each template gets two revision rounds before sign-off, and implemented pages are previewed through an unpublished theme link on your own store. Approvals happen asynchronously, which suits clients in North America, the UK, Australia and Europe working with a studio in Pakistan.
